Heavy Seas - From My Personal Poems

I'm standing in my classroom. A wave crashes around

as the tide draws the needy children at my feet. I am

surrounded by a feeling of being overwhelmed with

salty waters. My chest seems tight and my breath is

but a wind exhaling. The sails of the tiny ships glide

into one another, revealing that they too are being

swept away. I look onward and see a glimpse of light.

A small payne of glass that glimmers in the horizon. A

memory of home...land. The shoreline in my dreams

have always been the anchor and the lighthouse was

merely the lantern to journey with. I am reminded

that this large water is merely my destiny. A time to

learn how to float in heavy seas... Terah
